Hundreds Turn Out to Watch PSG Visit MSC

Several hundred MSC players and parents took advantage of a thrilling once-in-a-lifetime chance to stand on the same pitch as the great Claude Makelele and two dozen of his world-class teammates on Monday, May 17, as MSC hosted a training session for the Paris Saint-Germain team of France's premier professional league, Ligue 1.  Above, PSG manager Antoine Kombouare (left) chats with Wilson Egidio, head coach of MSC Phoenix, Barcelona and Cruziero.  The Parisians, recent winners of the French Cup, worked out on Randall's Island on their way to compete in the Sister Cities International Cup tournament in Chicago.  On Wednesday they defeated the Chicago Fire, 1-0, before falling Saturday in the final to Red Star Belgrade on PKs.

MSC Fields Fund-raiser a Success

The Annual MSC Community Event to raise money to pay for fields was a ton of fun and a financial success, but the Club still needs your help.  Every year, MSC needs to raise tens of thousands of dollars to pay for the Randall's Island fields our teams play on, and the Annual Event is the primary way the funds are raised.  PLEASE HELP by going to the MSC Shop and contributing whatever you can to the cause.  Your child's continued access to our wonderful fields depends on it.  Thank you!
