U15 Boys MSC Hurricane Win ENYYSA Challenge Cup title

U15 boys MSC Hurricane defeated NY Hota Inter by the score of 5-0 today at Nardi Soccerplex in Pomona, NY.  The match was dominated by the Hurricane from start to finish.  It took almost the entire first half for Hurricane to break a scoreless tie, but Teddy Miller blasted one by the keeper with a minute to play in the first period, to put the Hurricane up 1-0.  Talented forward Yancuba Janneh put Manhattan ahead 2 nil with a brilliant goal at minute 56.  Hurricane added three more scores to blow Hota out of the yard, 5-0.  Janneh scored three times, and Miller added two goals.  Hurricane become only the second team in Club history to win an ENY Challenge Cup. The U12 City Boys, coached by Frank Lowe, won a Challenge Cup in 1997.  The Hurricane didn't exactly back their way into the title, thrashing five opponents along the way by the combined score of 26-3.  Congratulations to coach Ati Mayer and all of the boys!!
